Chapter Blood Drive for WIC Week

NAWIC Blood Drive

In honor of Women in Construction Week (March 7-11, 2016), the Greater Little Rock Chapter of the National Association for Women in Construction (NAWIC) is participating in a NATIONWIDE Blood Drive. Our Chapter is hosting our Blood Drive in Little Rock. Unfortunately we were not able to schedule the Blood Drive during WIC week but we are still hosting one the following week! Close enough right!?

Please consider joining us on Monday, March 14th and help save a life! In order to get you through the process as quickly as possible, we suggest making an appointment but walk-ins are always welcome! Our donation goal is 20 Units so we encourage everyone to commit to this wonderful cause!

To get ready for your donation… 

• Hydrate — Be sure to drink plenty of fluids on the day of your donation.
• Wear Something Comfortable — Wear clothing with sleeves that can easily be rolled up above the elbow.
• Maintain a Healthy Level of Iron in Your Diet Before Donating — If possible, include iron-rich foods in your diet, especially in the weeks before your donation.
• Bring a List of Medications You Are Taking — We will need to know about any prescriptions and/or over the counter medications that may be in your system.
• Bring an ID — Please bring either your donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification.
• Bring a Friend — Bring along a friend, so that you may both enjoy the benefits of giving blood!
